F2UNDERGROUND
Just a few feet below
South Broad Street lies one of Philadelphia's great neglected spaces:
the Broad Street Subway Concourse. PIRA, in collaboration with the
Center City Cultural District, is proud to announce f2Underground,
an underground festival of creativity on the 2nd Friday of each
month.
F2Underground is an open
call for a festive carnival of creativity from 5pm to 6pm: Dancers,
Mummers, and acrobats; painters, sculptors, and performance artists;
musicians, poets, and ranters; children, adults, and elders; professionals,
students and everyone else!
f2Underground is a freeform
event, so no preregistration is necessary; just show up and put
on a show. No equipment or assistance will be provided, so please
visit the concourse before f2Underground to figure out how and where
you'll be participating. Please come prepared to clean up after
yourself and to leave the Concourse at least as clean as you found
it.
The Concourse stretches
from Spruce Street up to City Hall, with entrances along Broad Street.
F2Underground activities are concentrated in the Walnut-to-Chestnut
Streets area.
Come out and share your
creativity freely at f2Underground.
